Joico Body Luxe Review

I’m the proud owner of A LOT of fine hair. Like, a lot a lot. I’m constantly trying to get some volume into it so when the lovely team at RY.com.au got in touch asking if I’d try some products available from their site, I jumped at the chance to try out some volume inducing hair prods. Enter here the Joico Body Luxe Voluminizing Shampoo and Conditioner, and the Joico Body Luxe Root Lift Volumising Foam (all products c/o RY.com.au).

I’ve tried a few different voluminising products now, and these are right up there. In particular, the mousse is a winner. The first time I used all three products together, I had THE best hair day. There’s nothing better than a good hair day, right? The shampoo and conditioner work together to make your hair clean without feeling stripped, and the mousse was a game changer. After roughly drying off my hair to about 80% dry,  I squirted out about a golf ball sized portion and ran it through the roots and mid-lengths. I then used a medium sized round styling brush to achieve volume at the roots and smoothness on top. The result? I walked out the door feeling pretty great about my hair, and ready to take on the day.

Joico Body Luxe Mousse on Girl for Granted

On a related note, here’s a little about RY, the kind people who sent me the prods – if I’m being really honest, I’d never heard of RY before they got in touch, probably because they are online only in NSW, and I tend to shop for cosmetics, skincare and hair products in store. BUT – I’m super impressed. The range is really broad, the brands they stock are impressive, and there is a whole section of natural and organic products – no more trawling through product lists or googling organic brands if that’s your thing. Their shipping is also free if you spend over $99 (which, let’s be honest, is so easy to do on these kind of products, without even realising!).

I’ve now got a whole list of products and brands to try from RY – elf-tanners, all of the Dr Hauschka and Payot skincare, and about a billion hair treatments. But for now, I’m just going to enjoy my good hair days and all of the volume. For you know what they say about high hair and being close to God…
