I’m a huge book lover, in every way. There’s almost nothing more gratifying than sitting down and losing myself in the pages of a book. Beautifully photographed coffee table books are no exception, and I’m determined to start my collection. Flicking through these in book stores is one of my favourite ways to help get the creative juices flowing when I’m feeling a bit lost or otherwise uninspired.
The four pictured here have caught my eye recently. Any one of them would be a good place to start building a collection. They’re not particularly new, but I’ve flicked through three of the four in book stores and they’re stunners. Of course, I’d love your suggestions too. The Rachel Zoe one could well become my style bible if I do purchase it!
In particular, I love the look of the Pop to Popism book. Pop to Popism was actually an exhibition at the Art Gallery of NSW, but unfortunately I missed it. I’ve always had a love of pop art – I remember studying Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein in high school art classes and am always so struck by the masterful use of colour and the fascination with women that pop art seems to display. I’m no expert, but this catalogue would not go astray.
Any suggestions for coffee table books I should check out? x
