I’m always on the look out for new Instagram accounts to follow, with beautifully composed imagery or witty captions, and trust me, you have to follow Ballerina Project (follow me while you’re there – @amye_grant).

Ballerina Project is a New York based photography project, photographed by Dane Shitagi. Each photograph features ballerinas in everyday settings, and infuses fashion and a love of NYC with ballet – and it is incredible. The ballerinas captured are all dancers with prestigious companies or schools and the shots are taken mostly in and around NYC. It’s a celebration of the city scape, the arts, fashion and photography. I danced for a long time as a kid and was never very good, but ballet still captures my imagination. The grace, elegance and sheer determination of professional and skilled amateur dancers is astounding. With visually arresting images, Ballerina Project is well worth a follow. Ballerina Project makes me smile and double tap whenever it pops up on my Instagram – a sure sign of a hit.

As for the recent collaboration with AG Jeans – dancers and denim? I have no words.

Do you know of any good Instagram accounts to follow? x

Oh I love this sooooo much. I grew up dancing competitively and I always enjoy pictures and videos of dancers.
